Social Security

Rough estimate. Check your statement at ssa.gov. Bend points and the earnings cap are labeled figures to verify before launch.

$1,603

Sample monthly benefit at full retirement age. Not an SSA calculation. Not financial advice.

How this rough estimate works

Earnings are capped at the wage base, then averaged over 35 years with zeros for years you have not worked. The PIA uses 90%, 32%, and 15% at the bend points. Benefits at 62 and 70 adjust that PIA for early or delayed claiming. Full retirement age follows the birth-year rules in the constants file.

Questions

Is this my Social Security benefit?
No. It is a rough estimate from a flat earnings history and the 2026 bend points stored in one constants file. Check your statement at ssa.gov before you rely on a number.
What if I already have a PIA?
Enter the Primary Insurance Amount from your SSA statement under More options. That amount replaces the estimate. Claiming ages still apply the early and delayed factors.
What does the COLA field do?
It grows benefits after you claim, for the cumulative chart and the break-even ages. The default is the 2026 announced COLA, used as an assumption, not as a forecast of future COLAs.
